DON’T NOD is partnering with War Child!
DON’T NOD is partnering with UK-based charity, War Child. War Child works tirelessly in helping children and young people who are suffering in war zones and conflict areas worldwide.
The Gerda: A Flame in Winter – War Child Charity Digital Edition is available now on Steam for PC to commemorate Day of the Girl, which is a campaign focused on bringing awareness to the issues that girls and young women in war zones face around the world, to advocate strongly for their human rights, and to raise crucial funding to support them.
This new edition of the game contains:
- Gerda: A Flame in Winter (full game)
- the original soundtrack composed by Jakob Støvring Hansen
- six exclusive digital paintings of game environments.
20% of proceeds of the Gerda: A Flame in Winter – War Child Charity Digital Edition will go directly to War Child.
This partnership makes a lot of sense for us and the developers, PortaPlay. Gerda: A Flame in Winter was created to shine a light on one young woman’s experiences in occupied Denmark during World War II. As you may know, the story of Gerda Larsen—our main character—was inspired by a real person, the grandmother of PortaPlay’s CEO and Creative Director, Hans Von Knut Skovfoged. The Gerda: A Flame in Winter – War Child Charity Digital Edition is part of our contribution to War Child’s work in helping civilian children and young people in conflict areas.
You can support War Child by purchasing the Gerda: A Flame in Winter – War Child Charity Digital Edition on Steam or you can donate to them directly.
