Following a new rule implemented last week by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) mandating all employers enact a policy of forced COVID-19 vaccinations, the Biden administration has now ordered the workplace safety organization to require all U.S. workers to begin identifying as LGBTQ+ starting on February 1, 2022.
“39 percent of Americans now identify as LGBTQ+,” Biden said in a speech yesterday. “It is clear that this is what the American people want.”
Proponents of the new rule argue that identifying as anything other than LGBTQ+ amounts to nothing more than hateful rhetoric which creates an atmosphere of hostility in the workplace. This makes workers feel unsafe and insecure around, particularly, straight, white men.
The administration’s stated goal is that by the end of 2022, Biden hopes to have 98.7 percent of the American population identify as LGBTQ+. “The future of our planet depends on it,” Biden added.
